MIAMI–June 6, 2012–CareCloud, a leading provider of web-based practice management, electronic healthcare record (EHR), revenue cycle, and medical billing software and services, today announced that it has appointed Joseph P. Sawyer as Vice President of Marketing. In his new role, Mr. Sawyer will oversee CareCloud’s marketing and channel development efforts. He will be a member of the Company’s leadership team reporting to President and CEO Albert Santalo.

“Joe brings tremendous experience in driving the development and launch of disruptive technologies and he will play a critical role as we continue to expand our scope of products and services in the market,” said Santalo. “A key element to our success will be our ability to continue refining our marketing engine and overall branding efforts as it relates to driving sales and differentiating CareCloud in the marketplace. It was clear Joe was the ideal executive to lead these efforts and we are thrilled to have him join the CareCloud team.”

Prior to his joining CareCloud, Mr. Sawyer was Vice President of Marketing at American Well, a leading telehealth technology company, where he was responsible for all corporate marketing functions, as well as its consumer marketing group, which brings telehealth services to end users, consumers, and providers in close partnership with customers.

Before American Well, Joe was responsible for industry business development for multiple strategic product lines at SAP. Joe joined SAP after several years at Accenture and Forrester Research, where he was one of the first analysts to shape the growth of consumer eCommerce. At Forrester, he authored several groundbreaking reports – including the first to predict the burst of the dot com bubble – and was regularly quoted in publications including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Financial Times. Joe holds a BA summa cum laude from Bowdoin and a MBA from INSEAD in France and Singapore.
